The tragic reality of Devan Raj’s family is one of unimaginable hardship. At just 23, Raj lost his father to a heart attack, then, a devastating car accident that left him comatose and bedridden. Despite surviving after eight brain surgeries, his medical expenses exceeded RM70,000, forcing the family to bring him home for care. 

Meanwhile, his mother, Mrs. Mariammal, battles heart and kidney disease, requiring dialysis three times a week, making it impossible for her to care for Raj. His 13-year-old sister had to drop out of school to become the family’s caregiver. Then, tragedy struck again— Mariammal suffered a heart attack and passed away, leaving Raj and his sister completely alone.

With medical costs, food, and daily essentials piling up, they are in desperate need of support. The weight of their misfortunes has left them in a dire financial crisis, unable to afford even basic necessities.
