#How Kak Iman’s Life Changed After Her Brain Tumor Diagnosis
Kak Iman’s life changed dramatically after she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. At 37, she was not only a mother of three but also the main provider for her family. The tumor severely affected her nervous system, leaving her bedridden and paralyzed on one side of her face.
#Discovering the Brain Tumor by Accident
Her symptoms first appeared at work when she suddenly lost her balance and crashed into a parked truck, feeling stiffness in her face. After weeks of ineffective medication, doctors advised a thorough medical checkup, which revealed the brain tumor.
#Determined to Be a Good Mother
Nowadays, Kak Iman can only sit up with the help of medication because of intense spinal pain. Despite being confined to bed and limited in her movements, she remains strong for her children. She helps them with their homework and supports their education, trying to be as involved in their lives as possible because she knows they still need their mom. Before her illness, Kak Iman had hoped to travel with her family. Now, even taking her kids out for a meal is a challenge. She dreams of taking her children on a road trip in a camper van, exploring the country, and creating cherished family memories.
#A Husband’s Unwavering Support
Kak Iman is fortunate to have a loving husband, Encik Asyraf, who stands by her side. He has taken on all the household responsibilities, working during the day and taking on part-time jobs at night to cover expenses, carrying the weight of the entire family on his shoulders.
#Crowdfunding RM16,200
In an interview, we learned that Kak Iman needs RM16,200 for her next surgery. She has been delaying it because her children’s needs come first. After verifying her situation, the New Life Foundation decided to help her, aiming to ensure she gets the surgery she needs as soon as possible.
